New Layout[]
I have uploaded a new layout on the page. I have tried to make it friendly to firefox and explorer for resolutions 1024x768 and 1288x1032 but if there are any problems please make a note of them - Severe 17:56, 23 February 2008 (UTC) Template:Infobox

Where's all the evil side info =o?
Well if you're looking for information about fury armour, you'd first goto Equipment then Armor and if you were looking for fury weapons you would click Equipment then Weapons. Both of these links are on the main page for ease of use -Severe 13:41, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
New Idea[]
User:Nicolasjager has proposed a new idea for the layout which can be found here: User:Nicolasjager/Main Page
Random Screenshot[]
Any Idea what become of the random screenshot? It seems broken now. Nicolasjager 07:10, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
I have no idea, the code was the same from the gaming wikia featured media but now it doesn't work for us. I am wondering what could be used as a replacement - Severe 19:17, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
- Wikia had removed support for the code used. I've asked them to place it back for our site. It's working now. Nicolasjager 01:28, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
Sister Site Proposal[]
I've noticed from the forums that GMVentSol has started an Official Shaiya Wiki.
I've PMed him, with the following proposal:
Hey, GMVentSol. It's nice to see you've started an official shaiya wiki. We (Mainly Severe and I) have been working a lot on the Wikia site, and I've looked up "Sister Site" and come up with the following definition:
"When two sites either have VERY similar content, are run by the same person, or their owners just like each other a lot, they sometimes become sister sites. Sister sites only differ from affiliates in that the sites are usually more similar to each other than affiliated sites are, and the sister site buttons are usually larger than affiliate buttons. "I would propose we could become sister sites. I'm not really sure about the whole process of what needs to be done, so please respond and let me know the process as well as if you'd be interested in becoming sister sites.
Just to clerify, I'm talking about http://wiki.aeriagames.com/shaiya and http://shaiya.wikia.com becoming sister sites.
I'd just like to make sure everyone here's fine with that. Let me know if you have any comments, or complaints. Nicolasjager 01:28, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
I think we should move all the info from this wikia onto the official wiki, I don't see the point of having two wikis for the same thing, plus everyone will use the official one anyway -Severe 09:16, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
- Various games have both official and non-official wikis, I really don't see any problem with keeping both. My main concern with moving over to the official wiki, is "Will all the code reliances be met?" (Particularly my recent reliance upon sectioning off sections of pages with:
<section begin=SECTIONNAME/>CODE<section end=SECTIONNAME/>
- and then calling that section with:
{{#lst: PageSectionIsIn | SECTIONNAME}}
- Plus it would be annoying to move all the templates I rely on.
- I have no objection if someone wants to copy some stuff we have here over to the official wiki, just so long as they use some {{Wikia}} template similar to our {{Wikipedia}} template. Likewise, we would use a similar template for stuff we get off the official wiki.
- Now, I'm not saying we must duplicate the material, there is (I believe) the possibility to use interwiki links, thus if we have a page Foo, but the official wiki doesn't, they could place an interwiki link linking to our Foo, and vice versa. Nicolasjager 20:36, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
- Hey guys, thought I would throw in my two cents here. People will use whatever wiki is better, and that will in essence become the official wiki. There is no reason for you to transfer all of your work to the "official" wiki because it is run by Aeria...wikis are of course made possible by passionate enthusiasts like you (and run by experienced admins). I encourage you to keep up the hard work, and make a successful wiki, and Aeria will recognize the community you have built, and link back to this as a valid resource. Although having 2 wikis might fraction efforts, at this point, you are so far ahead, this seems a moot point. That said, it is of course up to the community to decide. Just keep in mind that not all hosting is created equal, and with the licensing structure in place, all of the contributions belong to Aeria and are no longer your property.
I would love to talk to you both about this issue, and should you have any question, just leave a message for me. TTYL -- Doug (talk) 18:01, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
- That's a Good Point, Kubon1, I hadn't given much thought about licensing. I thought all wikis ran under the same GNU License.... I for one, see no reason to migrate, however, if anyone wants to copy info from here, they're welcome to as long as they put up the template as discussed in Copying Content. But right now, the official wiki doesn't even support basic features such as parser functions. So, I will just do all my contributions here, since it's already more developed and has a lot more features and a good community of wikia admins and people (the wikia IRC channel has helped me a lot with template development). So, the different licensing is yet one more reason, why I'll stick around here.
- By the way, Kubon1, please remember to sign your edits on discussion pages with ~~~~
- Oh, and GMVentSol never responded to that PM. Nicolasjager 00:38, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

Out of Date[]
With the outcome of Episode 4 and wiki is no longer as up to date as it should. Also the information is rather few and the whole site could use some work. DKong
